This position is responsible for writing, developing, editing, and maintaining web-based online Help for an integrated group of products across multiple versions. The technical writer is also responsible for generating print documents, such as user guides and training manuals, from single-source RoboHelp content. This position also involves writing, developing, organizing, formatting, and editing other end-user documents, such as installation instructions and customization guides, as well as other technical documentation. The technical writer interacts with subject matter experts, product owners, project managers, and developers to create accurate software documentation. This position also requires the ability to learn, implement, and maintain the documentation styles and standards used by Info Tech. The technical writer must be able to learn new software and software features as they are developed.
Bachelor’s degree in technical writing or English and professional writing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience working as a technical writer for a software company preferred. This position requires a high level of expertise in RoboHelp, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with HTML authoring software, Excel, and Visio a plus.
