To provide editorial, desktop publishing, and administrative services for API publications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Edit technical publications, addenda, and errata
Perform document layout and create/manipulate graphics
Collaborate with editorial outsourcer on complex document layouts
Work with standards associates to ensure manuscripts are in API style
Track progress of publications in a production tracking database
Assist Editorial Manager with all activities related to post-publication of standards, including archiving electronic files and updating the Standards Definitions Database
Maintain content in various publications/editorial/standards databases
Coordinate with other editorial team members to produce the annual Publications Catalog
Other duties as assigned

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION
At least 3, preferably 5, years of professional editing experience, with at least one of those years spent editing scientific, medical, or other types of technical documents
At least three years of document layout and formatting experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required; proficiency in Adobe FrameMaker and Illustrator, or similar software, preferred
Familiarity/experience with XML-based workflows
Excellent organizational, time management, and communications skills
