Our Corporate Services division is looking for an Advisor, Organizational Development to lead and/or partner with client groups to support corporate organizational development across all business areas. These areas include: assessing, designing, developing and implementing organizational development strategies and solutions to support corporate-wide change initiatives and team effectiveness and evaluating strategies against desired outcomes. The Advisor will provide expert organizational development consultation to clients and to the Organizational Development team.
Reporting to the Manager, Organizational Development, you will work at the strategic level across the organization, and be responsible for the overall integration, delivery and monitoring of all organizational development services.
In partnership with Commissioners, Directors, HR Business Partners, HR Associates, and other internal stakeholders, analyzes and develops solutions to address corporate change priorities and team effectiveness needs
Works in partnership with departmental learning leads and key stakeholders to identify corporate learning and OD priorities and to plan solutions that address common departmental needs
Advises on corporate learning strategy and programming, based on analysis of Corporate Culture Strategy, the Region’s Strategic Plan and learning best practice expertise
Advises on learning and OD delivery methods, use of technology, and modern OD practices
Oversees vendor management for delivery of instructor-led training and e-learning
Assesses, designs, develops and leads the implementation of large-scale organizational development and learning programs to support corporate-wide change initiatives
Assesses root cause of team challenges and performance gaps, and advises people leaders and OD team members on appropriate interventions, including team-building, skill-building activities, facilitation design, performance improvement, curriculum design and development, vendor referral, learning material design
Designs and facilitates learning programs as required to support corporate change initiatives
A university degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Adult Education, Organizational Development, or related field
A minimum of five years progressive professional experience in a large environment in the design, development and implementation of organization-wide OD programs
Learning program assessment, design, development and implementation roll-out acumen, including team interventions
Excellent leadership, partnership and influencing skills
Technical writing and visual design skills
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Change management training and experience
Experienced classroom instructor
Strong facilitation skills and training
Solid pedagogy theory and application experience
E-learning design and e-learning vendor management experience (Articulate Storyline is an asset)
Leadership coaching training and experience an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft office Suite- Word, Excel and PowerPoint and an ability to learn new technology quickly
Demonstrated confidentiality, tact and diplomacy
Compensation: Band 8 - as per Non-Union Salary Structure, plus comprehensive benefits
Location: 7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga
Hours of work: 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday (35 hours per week)
