The User Experience organization is a multi-disciplinary service organization that designs user interactions and experiences with devices, systems and services that provide an overall positive, engaging and productive experience. The organization is comprised of UX Architects, Content Writers, UX Researchers, UI Engineers and Visual Designers that come together to design delightful experiences.
User Experience (UX) Design is responsible for applying knowledge of user-centered design methods, human-computer interaction and industry best practices to drive useful and usable interface design solutions.
A User Experience Architect Consultant is responsible for understanding and applying knowledge of human capabilities, technology, industry best practices and standards to create user interfaces for maintenance of low complexity projects.
Ability to create wireframes, user flows, user profiles, and user scenarios that are aligned with business and user goals for low complexity projects
Participate in and conduct interactive evaluations of user interface designs (usability testing, mock-up interviews, heuristic reviews, qualitative and quantitative measures)
Write design specifications
Ability to apply user interface standards appropriately and identify improvement opportunities for standards and usage
Participate in formal user interface design reviews
Perform research to help gather end-user requirements
Assist in defining and refining user-centered design processes and promote importance of user-centered design activities to ensure execution
Work closely and collaborate with UI Engineers, Visual Designers, Researchers, Content Writers, as well as Business and Technology Partners
Ability to work within Agile/Scrum, XP, and Waterfall development methodologies
Expected to participate in design thinking exercises and workshops with both stakeholders and users to help the team align on solutions
Bachelor’s degree or higher in design, computer science, information sciences, psychology, human factors and or HCI preferred. Graduates from a recognized, multi-week design bootcamp will also be accepted
Has had some experience as a UX practitioner in a highly collaborative environment
Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, Axure and MS Office
Clear understanding of mobile-first and responsive web design practices
Solid Understanding of the capabilities and limitations of HTML and CSS (you will not be expected to code)
