Claim Processing and Policy Administration systems. The User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) Lead is responsible for developing UX documentation (wireframes, navigation models, high fidelity visual design, redline specs) for web applications. This role will take the lead in supporting business and development teams as well as other user experience consultants. The role requires working closely with consultants both in the same location or working remotely. This role will require analytical skills to review the inventory documentation of the legacy UI screens while developing future state requirements to ensure a comprehensive UI/UX solution. The UI/UX Lead is critical for the success of the BFF initiative and in enabling the organization to meet the current and future needs of our members and prospects.The ideal candidate will be dedicated to excellence with a profound ability to find solutions to problems in a complex and constantly changing environment. Candidates must be experienced in both the analytical (UX Research) and creative (Visual Design) aspects of UX Design. A strong understanding of user-centered design processes and interaction design principles will be critical for success. Must have the ability to develop relationships across multiple functions and partners to understand user?s needs, request feedback on designs, and support implementation. The ideal locations for this role are Horsham PA or Wauwatosa (Milwaukee) WI. Primary Responsibilities:Ensure that a modernized, user-friendly UI/UX is designed and implemented that meets the comprehensive requirements of the organization, including: Document the future state UI/UX requirementsWork with business users to design a UI that streamlines data entry, eliminates excessive clicking, balances content and navigation, integrates multiple data sources and is optimized for dual screensConduct user experience surveys/interviews with business users and revise designs based on gathered feedbackCollaborate with IT, Business and implementation partner to design and implement a UI/UX solution ensuring alignment and that we are leveraging best practicesIdentify opportunities for improvement that will enable speed and flexibilityAssist in the establishment and documentation of a global design style and build layout templatesCreate wireframes for each of the individual future state screensDocument UX assumptions and decisionsDevelop interim state screens the may be needed for a short period of time while we are transitioning from the legacy solution to the new solutionProvide support during Program Increment planning, development and testing periods with the Scrum teamsScan the horizon for emerging UI/UX tools, skills, and techniques to ensure timely introduction of best practicesFacilitate stakeholder reviews to gain approvalsEnsure final redline specs are provided to IT to develop the solution
Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree in business related field or additional relevant work experience5+ years of work experience relevant to UI/UX design rolesStrong UX design and wireframing skillsSelf-starter who can perform in a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity across multiple functional teamsAbility to assess and document the user experience needs of the businessPrevious experience/success with significant UI/UX strategy, design, and implementationComfortable and familiar with working in an Agile delivery methodologyProven ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely with business partners, IT, leadership, and strategic partnersGood communication skills including active listening, and clear verbal and written communication skillsMinimum of intermediate skill level with PowerPointMinimum of foundational skill level with MS ExcelPrior experience and proven success in obtaining results working in a large corporate, matrixed environmentDemonstrated ability to develop relationships and flex between differing behavioral stylesDetail-oriented, confident and thoroughOccasional travel to develop relationships, determine requirements, conduct surveys, and assess the effectiveness of UI/UX implementations.
