The Technical Writer and Publisher is responsible for delivering high-quality technical documentation including product datasheets, application notes, user’s manuals, white paper, training presentations, and product collateral. This position focuses primarily managing the documentation workflow and performing the following tasks: writing, editing, assembly, publishing and updating of product information delivered to customers, as well as support for the various product line marketing initiatives. Additionally, the position provides communications support on an as-needed basis by coordinating sales and internal training efforts and posting approved information to the appropriate channels.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
Supervises the work flow and quality of customer-facing documents
Performs technical writing and editing as required to support the engineering staff in the development of technical documentation using industry best-practices
Performs desktop publishing services and establishes standards for technical documentation. Utilizes FrameMaker publishing software to complete final assembly of technical documents.
Interfaces with document control and maintains technical documentation templates and writing style guide
Audits and coordinates document control inventory for technical marketing materials
Coordinates product sales training
Provides proof reading support for all Marcom materials including but not limited to: press releases, contributed articles, outbound emails, web copy, slide decks etc.
Supervises posting of new product information to the website and to partner websites

Demonstrated understanding of standard semiconductor technical documentation content and publishing
An understanding of the importance of house style and templates
StrongpProficiency with FrameMaker and PC applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Windows. Experience with Adobe software suite: Adobe Illustrator, some experience with InDesign and Adobe Photoshop prefered

Education and Experience:
College degree in Marketing, Journalism or a related discipline and 5 - 8 years’ experience in technical marketing, writing, editing and desktop publishing/graphic design
Demonstrated, hands-on experience with semiconductor or related industry market research projects and analysis, report development
Demonstrated, hands-on experience publishing technical documentation (datasheets, application notes, user’s guides) and editing content for distribution to other outlets
Experience with website software and functionality
