At Lucas, a technical writer is responsible for creating and maintaining product documentation, training materials and (internal) technical documentation. As a result, you will be the key link between our internal team (CTO, SMEs, developers, QA) and our end users. You will:
Work with the team to understand the functional and technical aspects of the product, and
Document that functionality for both implementers and clients.
The successful candidate will have experience that meets most of the following requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in technical communications, journalism, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience writing documentation for a commercial software product.
Mastery of the technologies used to author documentation, online help, and training materials.
Strong communication skills, people skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with some of the technologies we use in the development of the product (e.g., relational databases, object-oriented languages, Jira, Confluence, GIT, etc.), and our preferred development methodology (e.g., Scrum) is a plus.
