Job Market Solutions is hiring an experienced resume writer who can create original content for client resumes based on client input and competitive research in order to develop impressive, creative resumes that highlight job seekers in the best possible light. You must have experience developing resumes for entry level, mid level, and executive level clients. The right candidate will have:
A strong understanding of proper usage of sentence structure, grammar, and spelling
The ability to produce resumes that are free of errors
The ability to write documents according to our process and standards, but also think independently, make judgment calls, and work with minimal supervision
The self-discipline to meet deadlines without fail; time management and personal organization skills are essential to success in this role
The professionalism and self-confidence to take direction and receive feedback with a good attitude; you must be able to learn quickly and immediately and consistently apply feedback
As an independent contractor, you can set your own schedule and take advantage of all the tax advantages of being self-employed. After a period of in-person training, you will be able to work remotely from home. You will write 10 resumes per week and have the opportunity to earn quarterly bonuses for taking on additional assignments (resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and cover letters).
Typical annual salary of our top writers is $38,000 (not including bonuses). With quarterly and end-of-year bonus potential--based on overall productivity, on-time delivery, and quality or written documents--our top writers earn $50,000/year.
Local to Raleigh, NC area for in-person and ongoing training
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field of study
Expert-level skills in MS Word with a strong aptitude for formatting
10+ years of progressive work experience in corporate settings
5+ years writing resumes
Ability to self manage and meet deadlines
A current copy of MS Word (no online Word alternatives, Google Docs, Pages, etc.)
STRONG PREFERENCE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WHO HAVE:
A master's degree, especially in Technical Communication or Business Administration
Certification as a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW) or National Certified Resume Writer (NCRW)
Membership in National Resume Writers Association (NRWA), Professional Association of Resume Writers (PARW), or Society for Technical Communication (STC)
Experience writing LinkedIn profiles
Experience working with a virtual team
