We are looking for an out-of-the-box thinker that can quickly learn the healthcare software we produce and the tools in which we use to document user's guides, as well as other client-focused documents. The Technical Writers on staff are involved in the everyday deadlines associated with the health care regulatory cycle. This means that being able to meet challenges quickly and accurately is a must. You must be willing to constantly learn new software and be open to learning healthcare regulatory information. You will be encouraged to ask questions, develop better solutions, and help make the documentation more efficient. We are a very client-centric company and the documentation team members regularly interact (directly / indirectly) with clients for their feedback.Our Technical Writers write and research their own content. You must be able to troubleshoot research, learn, adapt, and think independently. You must also be an effective team player.
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED (or higher) 2+ years of experience in technical writing Must be willing to provide writing samples Familiarity with software development life cycle Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (inputting data), Microsoft Word (creating and editing documents), and Microsoft PowerPoint (creating and editing decks) Experience with Adobe Acrobat Reader and / or Adobe Acrobat Pro Basic proficiency with Microsoft Visio (creating diagrams and images) Experience working in a professional office settingPreferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (or higher) Software documentation experience (user's guides, release notes, etc.). Adobe FrameMaker TechSmith SnagIt Microsoft SharePoint (document management and storage) Adobe PhotoshopCareerswith OptumInsight.
