Employment Status: Temporary, "non-exempt" position for 1 year from the date of hire with the possibility of conversion to probationary
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Under general supervision and art direction of the Director/ Assistant Director of the Career Center, the incumbent will be responsible for independently producing all marketing and departmental communication pieces for the campus wide community. Specific duties include, but are not limited to t the following:
The incumbent will develop a branding identity system for the Career Center to establish an internal and external community presence showcasing data, programming, academic college partnerships and support messaging and resources for statewide graduation initiatives.
The Incumbent will develop a variety of complex, high level, sophisticated visual assets for department promotion and informative communication to meet the diverse needs of the Career Center and institution.
The incumbent will develop creative designs tailored for targeted audiences in print and digital applications.
The incumbent will work independently and will manage multiple projects to support all areas of the Career Center at San Bernardino and Palm Desert. The incumbent will support all Career Center programs and work collaboratively with all units within the College.
The incumbent will be responsible for creating a digital file organizational system (record keeping) of all digital assets for Career Center. Incumbent will ensure all design edits, content and artwork is stored on the server and the inventory of printed materials is current.
The incumbent will maintain and monitor all Career Center's existing social media sites, such as YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram and other emerging platforms to better market department internally and externals. Incumbent will perform other related duties as assigned.
Applicants must possess the equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or the equivalent of two years' experience of professional or technical experience, preferably in the area of graphic design, branding, public affairs, or marketing.
Applicants must have knowledge in a variety of software programs used in the visual communication field such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator Applicants must have the ability to successfully multi task, meet deadlines, pay attention to detail and accuracy, work in a fast-paced environment, take initiative, along with the ability to work cooperatively with a diverse group of individuals.
Applicants must possess a comprehensive knowledge of web development, design, and production principles and communication theory including a basic understanding of marketing.
Applicants be able to populate, organize, manage and finalize department content for all design work. Applicants must have knowledge of research, data collection, analysis and measurement.
Applicants must possess a strong technical and graphic design skill set for a fast paced work environment while demonstrate ability to edit, conceptualize and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
Applicant must be in concept development, layout, and branding identity and in order to translate communication needs into strong visual designs.
Applicants must possess the ability to use interactive technologies and to create new methods for combining software and graphic packages to address communication and visual product goals. Applicants must possess the ability to plan, coordinate and execute online communication projects and handle multiple priorities.
Applicants must possess knowledge of copyright laws applicable to design work and creative properties. The ability to consult and communicate effectively with staff and students and to interpret and translate their needs into effective visual formats is required. Experience working in a University setting is desirable.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
