In this role as Technical Writer and Content Strategist, you will work with service owners and project teams to evaluate content needs, recommend a content plan/architecture and develop content to execute that plan all in support of the campus community. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and end-users to understand new or changing technology/services and how they meet the business needs of our customers. Based on this analysis, you will develop appropriate content to support the service including but not limited to service description, instructional materials, internal technical support guides, marketing materials and communications.
We are looking for someone with strong verbal communication skills and ability to interview customers and subject matter experts to gather service detail. You should have the ability to pay close attention to detail, have strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task.
Bachelor's degree in technical writing or equivalent discipline
At least 3 or more years of relevant experience required
Experience in writing technical documentation, instructional materials and business process workflows
Content/communication planning development
Demonstrated familiarity with web-based communications techniques and strategies
Content management and style/standards experience
Documentation usability and user experience testing and analysis.
MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, Fireworks), HTML, CSS
