POSITION: Part-time Adjunct Faculty in the Division of Continuing Education ("DCE")
Middlesex Community College invites applicants for part-time, adjunct faculty positions to teach evening courses in Engineering Technology - CAD for the Fall Semester of 2017. The College is committed to hiring creative and knowledgeable individuals that have expertise in their discipline.
A successful candidate for this position is a creative and knowledgeable individual who is capable of teaching courses to a diverse student body in CAD engineering technology and manufacturing technology, including introductory engineering, graphics, and drafting using SolidWorks and Inventor.
The candidate is well versed in the use of feature-based parametric design principles, 3D modeling software, technical illustration, engineering sketching, and creation of prints for use in parts fabrication. The candidate will be capable of teaching courses with hands-on labs, to degree-seeking students, and will be committed to inclusive excellence and diversity.
Minimum of CAD/Drafting/Engineering degree, OR evidence of 5 years of industry experience in mechanical engineering CAD software, technical design, and mechanical drafting required.
Understanding and working knowledge of SolidWorks (basic and advanced level), Inventor, 2D and 3D design. Apply a variety of instructional methods that engage students of varying learning styles, abilities, and backgrounds.
