EHS Project Supervisor, Safety Training Development L-III

This position will serve as a contracted employee who will work as a vendor onsite at a prominent search engine company, supporting the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department. Your primary function will be supporting the EHS Strategic Operations team by completing work streams to deliver various cross-functional projects to our client.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The purpose of this position is to support and assist in the management of HSE (Environmental Health and Safety) programs relative to a specific account or market area.
Assists in Managing HSE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and HSE needs of a client account(s).
Evaluates new and existing programs to assess suitability and the need for changes.
Assists in overseeing specific HSE plans, playbooks, and procedures for the assigned account or market area, making certain play books are current, complete, and effectively implemented.
Responds to customer member concerns regarding HSE matters.
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area.
Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination.
Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime.
Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.
Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.
Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
Develop creative strategies to design, plan, and execute scalable global EH&S Trainings that align with EHS leadership's philosophy, programs and policies
Drive strategic and analytical initiatives to improve internal training processes and global training delivery with minimal impact on employees' daily operations.
Lead cross-functional project teams to develop/manage project timelines and lead cross functional groups to deliver on project objectives without formal authority.
Drive training development to completion by managing timelines, overseeing the instructional design process and coordinating the delivery of training to internal Google partners.
Deliver trainings on various platforms including implementing and administering Learning Management Systems (LMS), developing and managing communications rollout plans, and comprehensive recordkeeping.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Experience developing Environmental Health & Safety training curriculum.
Degree in communications, business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5-7 years of experience in consulting, project management, training development, or a related field.
Experience managing project teams and budgets, and translating technical concepts into online learning narratives and instructor led curriculums
Working knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety, and environmental regulations is essential. Direct experience dealing with regulatory agencies and/or compliance officers is preferred.
Experience working in manufacturing, construction, and facility maintenance and management is preferred.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES Any of the following: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) - preferred.
