Prepare formal, official program documents and correspondence based on input and direction and maintains accountability of associated program files and records.
Assist in the development and coordination of appropriate responses and reports.
Actively participate in scheduled and unscheduled in-process review meetings and briefings, as required by the Government.
Participate in ad-hoc meetings and be able to complete high priority assignments with quick turnaround response time.
Interface with Governmental and non-Governmental agencies. Other functions include analyzing requirements for inter-agency working groups and coordinating inputs from numerous sources, other Government agencies, academia, and non-Governmental organizations.
Research multiple topics, such as major technical issues and research trends, and use that research to write speeches and create presentations that focus on specific topics to engage audiences; draft speeches and presentations specifically for customer; and produce complex, high-profile speeches, presentations and communications for customer.
Active DoD security clearance
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience providing technical editing and writing support to high-ranking Federal Government Senior Executive or DoD Flag/General Officers; Additional experience may be substituted for specific educational requirement
Thorough working knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style 16th Edition
Knowledge of government document process procedures (DoD 5110.4-M) is highly desirable
