As a member of the Digital Team within the Division of Marketing and Communications, the Assistant Director, Web Development will be responsible for leading a team of front-end and back-end developers in the creation of high quality, world-class web experiences for desktop and mobile devices. The Assistant Director, Web Development will drive code development standards in the creation of services, features, and components to develop and maintain the central web presence of Syracuse University. The Assistant Director, Web Development will manage a team of developers ensuring standards-compliant coding is used in the development of and implementation of WordPress themes, plugins, features, and custom application development. Set direction, provide mentorship, determine technical standards, and drive platform decisions to facilitate future web development projects. Manage multiple development projects simultaneously using modern, agile development workflows to ensure effective delivery of superior products on-time and within budget. Drive the creation of web, mobile applications, and services based on wireframes, sitemaps and visual designs to support university initiatives and serve the campus community.
