Under limited supervision, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the design and creative execution of marketing materials, including e-mails, electronic and print ads/brochures, sponsorship presentations, etc. Responsible for the coordination and distribution of communications materials to suppliers, sponsors and others as directed. Designs graphics for use in marketing, website and social media platforms.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing & Communications
Creates print and electronic marketing materials including brochures, emails electronic and print ads, and sponsorship presentations.
Works closely with leadership and marketing team to support a consistent, coordinated, and integrated marketing and communications strategy.
Works with cross-functional teams including business development, education and events to produce and implement creative elements with consistent messaging according to campaign goals.
Coordinate and maintain global marketing calendar for distribution of communication materials; schedules email marketing messages to ideal frequency.
Manage relationship with software providers and troubleshoot user or functionality issues (i.e. Cvent).
Creates visual designs, including typography, visual content, logo and icon designs, used to design and edit ads, banners, email templates, press releases, promotional videos, business development materials, website, mobile app, etc.
Manage various email campaigns, ensuring visual designs communicate desired message and functions successfully for varying technical and performance specifications.
Monitor and report effectiveness of campaigns.
Assist with design and creation of all ACTE branding, including but not limited to: website, event marketing materials for North American region and global conferences, including agendas, PPTs, signage, table drops, name badges, logos, etc.; write message copy, as needed.
Manage and manipulate distribution lists for e-marketing campaigns based on past behaviors, overall calendar, frequency of messaging and campaign goals.
Update member and prospect records in iMIS database, as needed.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.
Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value.
Manage all aspects of association’s event mobile app (Klik), facilitating the event details for entry.
Point of contact for event mobile app; liaise with internal staff to ensure understanding of functionality and user assistance.
Stay abreast of event mobile app trends and best practices, evaluate alternate options, as needed.
Participate in website development plans using the Higher Logic and/or RiSE platform to utilize native functionality and improve user experience.
Utilize Google Analytics to track and report website use statistics and make recommendations for adjustments.
Event Support and Assistance
Attend scheduled global conferences, supporting onsite function, as assigned.
Attend marketing industry related events, as appropriate.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field and/or 2-3 years’ related work experience.
Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing skills, with the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of ACTE.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong design sensibility, working knowledge and experience with graphic tools (Canva, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally 3-4 times per year.
International travel experience and/or any foreign language proficiency is a plus.
Experience with web design, HTML, Cvent, CrowdCompass, iMIS, RiSE, Higher Logic, Klik, and Google Analytics a plus.
Ability to adapt in a fast-past environment, while managing multiple competing priorities under tight deadlines.
