Works with internal and external organizations to develop, plan and write/edit internal and external technical documentation. Work requires use of the appropriate editorial/logical methodologies and process management. Ensures that documentation is written in a manner that customers with limited to highly proficient technical product knowledge can understand and use the material.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conceptualizes, researches, plans, analyzes, and authors high quality technical documentation
Learns and adapts quickly to new technologies, tools, and processes in a fast-paced environment
Spearheads and leads initiatives to improve content quality and usability
Authors articles and topics using minimalism principles
Works effectively with cross functional teams to deliver the best solutions to our customers
Can solve, in creative and practical ways, a wide range of complex problems related to the creation and maintenance of documentation sets
Demonstrates leadership skills in the areas of team building and mentoring writers
Writes for technologies, including but not limited to, multimedia and Chatbot platforms
Works effectively and efficiently with limited supervision, including little or no supervision in the pursuit of established goals and the resolution of complex issues as they arise
Consistently demonstrates a sense of ownership in their work and deliverables
Post-graduation / graduation in any one of the following: engineering, computer application, technology (BE/ME, B Tech/M tech, BCA/MCA)
5 years of experience as technical writer
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with persona-based writing
In-depth understanding of Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
Strong analytical and technical aptitude to grasp complex technologies
In-depth understanding of telecommunications, cloud, and networking domains
Advanced skills in using XML based authoring tools
Understands Information Architecture methodologies, techniques, and implementation
