Cross-functional position involved with production, engineering and sales to properly document various company operations to meet internal as well as ISO standards. Applicant will be responsible for drafting, editing and checking work instructions along with other technical documents. As an integral part of cross-functional product teams, the Technical Writer must learn the products by hands-on experience, interviews, and review of related system specifications, requirements, and design documents. Other duties may be assigned.
The Technical Writer is responsible for writing and editing technical documentation
Develop and maintain assembly, configuration, service how-to documentation and help in accordance with established standards.
Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, while working independently or with technical specialists in manufacturing or service departments.
Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format and content.
Organize material and complete writing assignment according to established standards with clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
Incorporate image files including diagrams or charts that may help clarify written text.
Edit and revise documentation materials based on reviews of subject-matter experts, team members, and other writers.
Ability to learn and use all software applications required for creating print and softcopy documents.
Ability to communicate effectively in written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Able to organize materials and manage the process for release of new and revised documentation.
Ability to work as part of a team and assist the team in completing documentation as necessary.
Understand the implications of new information and follow directions from subject-matter experts, engineering team members for documentation purposes.
Ability to adjust and change focus and /or priority as well as the ability to successfully multi-task as needed and set priorities as needed.
