The strategic communications consultant is responsible for strategic communications on IT projects within the Office of Advancement Services (OAS) Project Management Office (PMO), specifically related to change management activities for the upcoming system conversion.
Create, design, and write complex publication materials, web content, employee communications, newsletters, bulletins, and informational materials for internal and external audiences, including executive-level audiences.
Interview subject matter experts and develop an original approach for each storyline
Work with stakeholders to translate ideas and concepts into professional communications products under tight deadlines, including talking points, PowerPoint presentations, event materials, articles, e-mails to the workforce, and other communications products, as needed.
Provide key input to strategic communications plans, developing and executing action plans to drive effective stakeholder engagement.
Work with visual and digital communications, including working with graphic designers to create informational graphics and eye-catching presentations, writing for a digital audience, and measuring the effectiveness of strategic communications plans and initiatives.
Assist with establishing editorial and departmental standards.

+ Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience with strategic communications or technical writing
+ Experience with copywriting and editing ranging from newsletters to web content
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
+ Ability to work as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
+ Ability to leverage expertise in editing and analysis
+ Experience with writing, journalism, marketing, or business
+ Experience with institutions of higher education
