The Technical Writer will be working with various stakeholders within the Macro Helix business unit to develop and maintain Pharmacy software and Point of Sale (POS) user documentation, job aids, FAQs and the 340B Architect Online Help to meet the business objectives. Product documentation is intended for customer use and internal support staff.
Create / Edit / Maintain online help and user documentation for Pharmacy software (340B Architect)
Validate content and interview subject matter expert Product Managers to ensure user stories are translated to accurately reflect how the customer performs the procedure for Pharmacy software and POS.
Work with trainers and Business Analysts to validate user documentation and job aids for Pharmacy software.
Create / Edit / Maintain Q&A, FAQ and Quick Tips documents based on government changes, customer anticipated questions and analyzing data from the Help Desk call tracking system (Remedy) for Pharmacy software.
Create / Edit / Maintain Pharmacy software and learning reference material and job aids.
Create style guides and templates to ensure consistency across all work.
Organize and maintain files of work and revisions.
Ensure all documentation is formatted according to McKesson standards.
Attend daily Agile meetings and regular sprint demos.
Plan own work and provide regular progress reports to Manager.
Other duties may be assigned
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience
3+ years of experience in technical writing for software products
Ability to write in a concise, unambiguous style appropriate for the target audience
Experience with online help authoring tools (Helpjuice)
Excellent command of English in both written and verbal communication
Creative ability when designing end user documentation
Excellent command of MS Office applications
Experience with document control and management procedures

Ensure accuracy of all work
Successful track record of managing multiple documentation projects at a time and prioritizing workloads effectively to maximize deliverables
Proactively gather information and develop documentation related to new features while the new feature is still under development
Able to learn software products quickly
Effective in working both independently and as part of a larger team
Undergraduate degree or college diploma required (e.g. Technical Writing, Communication, English)
