The Technical Writer role is to develop new and revise existing policy and procedure materials, process maps, and business communications of the Company’s products. The Technical Writer is responsible for creating, maintaining, and the overall management of the Company’s technical documents and manuals in support of the business products that explain complex information in a clear, concise manner. This role works closely with the Professional Services and Product Development teams to ensure complete, accurate and timely product descriptions for our clients and internal stakeholders. Ultimately, the Technical Writer must be able to quickly grasp technical concepts in order to translate these business specifications into documentation that is easy to understand at the end user level. This role can be 100% remote.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical writing support to, and updates for, new and existing assigned documentation
Become familiar with applicable products, services, concepts, practices, requirements, and procedures
Plan, organize and write business communications including, reports, user manuals, or policies and forms with an emphasis on completeness, level of detail, content organization, and overall understandability by all readers
Develop documents that are organized, succinct, compliant, and meet internal and external deadlines
Edit documents for consistency, clarity, grammar, syntax, format, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with subject matter experts in the creation and implementation of documentation pertaining to programming, systems operation and user documentation
Work with industry and customer standards to develop quality and user-friendly formats and templates for future publications
Collect, analyze, and compile information from various resources for use in creation or editing of procedures, reports, and documents
Manage review and approval of documents including comment resolution
Excellent time management, resource organization and priority establishment skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Superior collaborative skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
Speak or write with ease, clarity, and impact, using a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audience; must be fluent in English
