What you will do
You will create pieces to help employees make wise choices for themselves and their families and be healthy – physically, mentally and financially.
Your role in creating material and campaigns will include:
Researching, writing and editing client communication, such as:
Print copy for deliverables such as benefits enrollment guides, brochures, postcards, posters, etc.
Creative briefs and scripts for videos
Training and educational presentations
Providing direction to and working with graphic designers and web developers
Coordinating print and video production with vendor partners
Participating in discussions on branding and communication strategies
ROC has offices in Minneapolis, Chicago and Portland. The job is currently remote and candidates in U.S. locations will be considered.
Skills for success
The ideal ROCer is smart, detail-oriented, self-starting and likes to collaborate on projects with clients, colleagues and partners. We look for the following skills:
Exemplary writing, editing and proofreading skills
Proven experience managing projects and producing clear, concise and accurate communication
Aptitude for using technical source materials to draft communication understood by a variety of audiences
Familiarity with a range of media including digital, video, PowerPoint and print
Strong organizational, listening and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and function as a collaborative team member
Capacity to prioritize and complete multiple projects simultaneously and on time
Comfort working with a variety of internal teams, clients and external partners
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communication or related field
At least three years of relevant professional experience, which could include writing educational materials, promotional campaigns, grant proposals or technical manuals
Knowledge of Benefits, Compensation and/or Human Resources programs is a plus; if needed, we will train qualified candidates, as appropriate
