What does a great Technical Writing Professional do? Fiserv is seeking a Technical Writer/Product Documentation specialist to support our suite of merchant services and payment acceptance products.
In this role, you will work closely with our Product, Engineering, Support, and Integration Delivery teams to develop content for a wide variety of products and audiences.
By collaborating across teams and projects, you will develop an important perspective on our products and technologies, providing a unique value to our internal stakeholders and product development processes.
As a Product Documentation Specialist, you will develop and maintain a wide variety of technical product content, including:
Application Programming Interface (API) and Software Development Kit (SDK) specifications and technical developer documentation for software developers integrating our suite of APIs and SDKs to build in-person point-of-sale and in-app payment solutions. Postman API collections and other developer tools. Payment terminal user guides, for merchants using our payment terminals to accept card-present payments. Software user documentation for merchants using our payment applications to accept payments and manage their businesses. Software user documentation and in-app user assistance for sales partners and agents using our merchant services CRM platform to build and manage merchant portfolios. In-app user assistance to promote new application features and improve the new user onboarding experience. Internal product release documentation and training materials for internal stakeholder groups to stay informed about product releases and development efforts. Technical Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documentation for support teams and clients to understand and respond to platform and technology issues. Payment Card Industry (PCI) documentation to support PCI compliance and audit requirements for our P2PE Solution. Required Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred, equivalent work experience will be considered. 2 or more years experience in technical writing or a related discipline. Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail (fluency and highly proficient in English). To quickly understand translate deeply technical information into content for a range of audiences. To empathize with client and internal stakeholder audience needs to provide the best product experience. Experience working on a cross-functional team, supporting multiple technical products. An independent work ethic to drive results without micro-management. Basic familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Preferred Qualifications
