Summary: Write and edit various customer documentation (manuals/data sheets) describing Slurry/Chemical Blend and Dispense system safety, installation, operation, user interface, maintenance, alarms, tool configuration, and parts list information for non-technical and technical users.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Takes initiative to develop documentation to align with company standards to thoroughly validate the information contained within the document.
- Contributes to the continued development of design, information, and structure of customer manuals using Adobe FrameMaker.
- Collaborates with various subject matter experts (Process Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Controls Engineers, etc.) to develop appropriate content.
- Creates and/or manipulates technical drawings.
- Uses photographs, drawings, diagrams, and charts that increase users’ understanding.
- Creates, updates, and edits product data sheets as required.
- Produces materials that conform to the company documentation and quality assurance standards.
- Maintains project timeline and documents project status along with updated databases.
- Perform electronic and hard copy document archiving and document reproduction
- Act as key resource to internal groups for search and retrieval of information in the document control center.
- Coordinate the process of timely distribution of latest revision documents and training as necessary.
- Ensure the removal of obsolete documentation from circulation.
- Assist with any requests for reporting, presentations, etc.
- Coordinate documentation activities with other team members, as necessary.
- Photograph and edit completed systems for use in manuals
- Develop, create, and maintain a library of reusable training modules for Mega products
- Occasionally creates, develops, plans, writes, and edits operational, instructional & procedural processes in relation to manufacturing to ensure documents meet or exceed standards for production.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to deliver high-quality technical documentation on schedule
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced writing skills and strong attention to detail
- Adobe FrameMaker skills, including template creation/manipulation
- Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact/interview a diverse group of management, engineers, and technical staff to gather data for documentation
- Ability to read and interpret documents, engineering drawings, Schematics, P&ID’s
- Prioritization of work in accordance with system ship dates for on-time delivery
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
Education/Experience:
- B.S. in Technical Writing & Communication or equivalent work experience.
- Vocational or technical training preferred
- 3+ years technical writing or related work experience required
- 3+ years document control support or related work experience required
- Familiar with AX and Bluestar systems are preferred
