Accertify is growing quickly, and we are looking for a Technical Writer II to join our team. The Technical Writer II is an existing position, and this individual will be responsible for performing research analysis, information design, technical writing, and video production for Accertify’s products and processes. This individual will work closely with the Technical Writing Manager, Product Managers, Implementation Specialists, Software Developers, Support Analysts and other team members to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all related documentation. The Technical Writer II will produce assets for both Accertify staff and customers. Examples of the assets expected include Feature Guides, Online Help, How-to Videos, and On-Screen Walkthroughs. Your efforts will help build stronger product and company knowledge that will drive positive colleague growth and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Become familiar with Accertify’s products to the point that you are comfortable communicating changes to those impacted.
2. Write product documentation for end users and internal personnel. This includes preparing documentation ready for publication from scratch.
3. Independently research topics and interview SMEs to learn the intricacies of our Platform and incorporate their feedback through the review process.
4. Leverage single-sourcing methodologies, including Madcap Flare, our authoring tool.
5. Organize and participate in meetings regarding software development, testing, and documentation deliverables.
6. Test documentation to ensure it meets our users’ needs.
7. Plan and produce videos as needed.

Experience Level:

Looking for 5-10 years of technical writing experience, with a couple years in video production (or a desire to learn).

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, or Computer Science, a minimum of 5 years documenting in a corporate environment, or an equivalent combination of schooling and experience.
2. Experience with authoring software tools, such as, Madcap Flare, WalkMe, Apiary, and Mindtouch.
3. Experience with Adobe Captivate, TechSmith Camtasia, or other tools for creating videos.
4. Excellent organizational skills, including diplomacy and patience.
5. Strong written and oral communication skills; solid interpersonal skills a must.
6. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Must be able to work independently on a day-to-day basis.
