Business Technical Writer The Technical Writer is responsible for generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The position researches products, services, technology or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience. Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension. Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions. Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed. Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure and form documentation. Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team. Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards. Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content. Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights language that sets our users up for success. Develop and maintain detailed databases of appropriate reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications. Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement
Provides technical consultation concerning business implications of application development projects. Uses broad knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements and BNY Mellon corporate policies involving risk and control to support the development of improved business processes through technology. Contributes to the achievement of related teams objectives
Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.5-7 years of total work experience preferred. Technical experience preferred..
