Responsible for leading a team of technical writers who are responsible for the creation, development, and execution of product labeling for Terumo BCT businesses and product lines. Supports new product development and lifecycle labeling projects
Manage overall development and quality of documentation produced by the technical writers
Forecasts and meets project deadlines and budgets taking the initiative to report on project status to manager and internal customers
Acts as a mentor to writing team by providing guidance in good writing practices, project management practices, and design controls
Creates and maintains departmental policies and procedures.
Partner with marketing, geographies, businesses, clinical, legal, regulatory affairs, packaging and labeling, supply chain, documentation control, contract writers, translation team.
Facilitate the inclusion of translations into the development process by bringing writers, the localization manager and core team members together on all projects
Provide strategic input related to technical documentation based on business strategies
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
Minimum 7 years experience, with at least 5 years management or leadership experience
Experience effectively managing multiple projects and changing priorities
Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
Strong project management skills, including resource planning and budgeting
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
Experience practicing design controls (medical device regulations) in generation of documentation
An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.
