The Highlights The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) seeks an enthusiastic part-time staff member who will assist the marketing communications specialist with communications projects that support the strategic objectives and initiatives of the college. Responsible for planning, developing and creating new ideas as well as editing, organizing and publishing information related to both the college's web and social presence. Regularly monitors the website, social media channels and helps to develop strategies for improved engagement. Coordinates digital updates and enhancements with leadership, IS and college liaisons.

Website Maintenance • Creates, curates, edits and organizes content and maintenance of the SCPS website (plus any microsites), including making regular updates, managing faculty and staff profile updates, fixing broken links, and performing content audits. • Evaluates and recommends appropriate web content based on college and program goals and objectives. • Ensures web content complies with university brand standards and style guides. • Establishes and implements editing, workflow and governance protocol for web/digital content in collaboration with content owners. • Assists in the tracking and analysis of website traffic using Google Analytics. • Assists with collecting material for larger website projects (e.g., alumni headshots and testimonials, information about new initiatives). • Remains current on internet trends, technologies and site design. Monitors websites and initiatives of primary competitors as well as industry leaders.
Systems Maintenance and Processes • Analyzes current systems, identifies system and process improvements and assists with the implementation of new software systems. • Maintain content and improve processes associated with the application of the CRM, Slate, for non-credit certificate programs. • Updates portals and other front facing elements of CRM. • Maintains documentation for processes within the CRM.
Social Media • With guidance from the marketing communications specialist, assist with creating content for SCPS social media channels. Content may include written articles, photos, video clips, graphics, Facebook Stories/Reels and Stories/Highlights for Instagram. • Assist with scheduling social media content in content management system including oversight of the Hootsuite platform and responsibility for training others at the college on its use • Assist with monitoring social media accounts by engaging with followers, monitoring hashtags and/or conducting industry research on trends as needed. • Compile lists of evergreen content to post on social media channels. • Take photos of DePaul's campus for social media. May attend select events to provide photography coverage (varies). • Help brainstorm content ideas for social media channels.
Other Administration • Complete administrative tasks related to the college's digital assets (e.g., archiving videos). • Create data analytics reporting for leadership on a monthly basis. • Create graphics for digital promotion.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and education
Previous experience (1-3 years) in a web-related or digital marketing position.
Experience in digital media, interface design, visual design, graphic arts and mobile design
Other Skills & Abilities Required
Information technology aptitude, a demonstrated ability to learn and leverage software systems.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or comparable graphics and web development tools
Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and cross-browser compatibility a plus
Experience with mobile design (native and mobile web) a plus
Excellent written, verbal and copyediting skills (spelling, grammar, etc.)
Basic knowledge of photography/composition
Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative website measures
Clear communicator with a high attention to detail
Self-starter able to work independently on projects and shift priorities as needed
Understands major social networks from a business perspectiveFacebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn & YouTube
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
