This position will work a hybrid schedule that includes working both onsite at Towne Centre Drive and remotely.

DESCRIPTION
This position represents the IS Project Management Office and interacts daily with executives and senior leaders from UC San Diego Professional schools, Campus, and Health System. This is a continuing position reporting to the Portfolio Manager of Applications Project Management and has direct supervisory responsibilities.
Manages programs and oversees component projects to ensure program budget, schedule, scope and performance requirements are met. Manages and mentors Project Managers, evaluating project and program performances and providing project and program management delivery best practices. Manages continuous improvement for project management delivery. The Program Manager will have a strong skillset for project management, design and customer service and will support a team focused on strategy and execution.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus five (5) years of related experience/training.
Experience in project management, Epic applications, and meeting facilitation with executive leaders.*A minimum of five (5) years of UX / UI or Product Design experience.
Experience with project management tools/applications (Clarity, Service Now, etc.).
Applied knowledge of project management best practices and frameworks such as PMI's Body of Knowledge or System Development Lifecycle.
Healthcare and IT industry experience.
Professional experience and proven success managing technical projects.
Experience owning design strategy, conducting research, and participating in the design process from end-to-end.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Management experience.
PMP or PgMP Project Management Institute certification.
Epic proficiency/certification in Ambulatory and/or Inpatient.
Design certification (IDEO, etc.)
Experience managing new clinic/construction projects.
Vendor management experience.
Experience with Clarity PPM.
Experience managing project teams working with Epic and/or other EMR systems and their associated modules and reporting environments.
Experience managing project teams working with systems that integrate with Epic and suite of modules.
Experience managing cross-functional technical project teams. Working with IT infrastructure and technology, such as servers, networking, cabling, AD, Single Sign-On, standard Epic hardware, peripheral requirements, and Citrix.
Experience with the successful implementation of SaaS.
Agile or Scrum experience.
Experience with leading the implementation of project management best practices and frameworks such as PMI or CMMI.
Demonstrated Healthcare industry experience.
Experience implementing large-scale clinical IT solutions.

Pay Transparency Act Full Salary Range: $78,900 - $179,900 Annually

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is defined as the Full Pay Range. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position defined as the Expected Pay Scale.
