Collaborates with F&A Division leadership to develop communications strategies that embody the Divisionâ™s core values and align communication responsibilities to meet the organizationâ™s operational goals.
Provides ongoing communications and change management advisory services to F&A Division leadership to ensure internal messaging is focused, consistent, and aligned to overall University priorities and standards of communication.
Builds and maintains sustainable multi-channel vehicles for communicating the full spectrum of programs and services offered by F&A to University departments, divisions, and schools; help frame and distribute important announcements and updates.
Manages the internal and external F&A web presence by developing content and organizing and updating information on the Universityâ™s website and intranet. Serves as the primary liaison to other University departments to ensure F&A information is accurate and current.
Oversees F&A strategic communications planning, execution (i.e., timeline and goals development and measurement), and resource allocation for the service areas within F&A and manage approval processes for communications strategies and materials with University Communications leadership.
Writes and develops content for materials such as email announcements, briefing documents, talking points, and website content.
Measures and monitors the ongoing effectiveness of communication strategies through qualitative and quantitative measures.
Serves as the primary support for the planning and execution of events hosted by the Office of the CFO and provide advisory and support for events hosted by units within F&A.
Develops, plans, and disseminates information designed to keep the public informed of the organization's programs, accomplishments, or point of view.
Solves moderate to complex problems related to the writing, preparation, and/or delivery of information from or about the unit.
Performs other related work as needed.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in communications, marketing or related field.
Demonstrated experience writing communications and managing communication plans.
Planning and executing in-person, hybrid, and remote programming events.
Experience in higher education industry highly preferred.
Technical Skills or Knowledge:
Manage websites using Sitecore or related content management systems.
Email marketing tools and platforms.
Translate complex concepts into easily understood messages that target specific audiencesâ™ need and/or perspective.
Manage individual and team assignments to deliver a defined outcome.
Strong project management and communication skills, including writing, visual design/presentation.
Expertise effectively managing work and/or exercising influence across a matrix and decentralized environment.
Support a project from conception through successful conclusion in a communication role.
Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
Proven success working with senior leadership teams.
