Inrad Optics has an opening for a Document Control Coordinator in our Northvale, NJ facility. The right candidate will join an exceptional group of scientists, engineers and technical craftspeople in our collaborative pursuit of the Inrad Optic mission.
We are looking for a qualified individual with the ability develop, write, edit, and maintain both technical documentation and standard operating procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and timely production of Inrad Optics products and services. In our build-to-print environment, you will coordinate the assimilation of new orders as well as their associated drawings, specifications and requirements into our production flow. With your breadth of knowledge, you will be able to provide information vital to quoting of new opportunities, as well as keeping larger project-based work on track.
Key Responsibilities
Produces and maintains product documentation, including but not limited to design specifications, drawings, workflow routers, specifications, user manuals/guides, training materials, proposals, and reports.
Print and distribute documents as needed
Scan and upload documents according to company procedure
Perform a review of new purchase orders to ensure all information is complete and provided documentation is correct
Collect, modify and register all technical documents (i.e. drawings and related specifications) in the Company’s information system
Create new Part IDs in the ERP system and connect the associated documentation
Review and update documents for production, maintenance and quality control through the use of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
Keep other personnel updated on new document versions and how to obtain access
