Job Overview
The Visual Designer creates clear, elegant, creative, and accessible design work for the Center.
They work closely with the Director of Digital Experience, the Communications and Events Coordinator, and the Front End Developer to create:
Concepts, wireframes, and design patterns for Center websites, web applications, and online course templates
Digital and print materials for the Center's programs, events, and reports
Digital materials for course and other educational materials as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree - preference for Master's degree
3 to 5 years of experience in visual design or similar design subdomain
Strong sense of visual design for digital and print, including typography and layout
Understanding of how to design for different devices and contexts
Proficiency with Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite (or similar)
Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and research and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment
Preferred qualifications
Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
