**EXEMPT POSITION-SALARY DEPENDS ON EXPERIENCE**
Conduct environmental assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and preparing all relevant environmental reports.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date geospatial information related to the cooperative’s infrastructure.
Perform spatial analysis, map creation, and data visualization to support environmental planning, resource management, and infrastructure development projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, district personnel, and management to integrate GIS into project planning and decision-making processes.
Prepare comprehensive environmental reports, including NEPA documentation, environmental impact assessments, and mitigation plans, specifically tailored for RUS loan applications.
Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop models to evaluate the potential effects of electric utility projects on the surrounding ecosystems, habitats, and communities.
Work closely with engineering, construction, and finance teams to gather necessary project information and provide environmental inputs for loan applications.
Assist in various other GIS projects as time permits.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Geography, GIS, or related field.
Proven experience in environmental management, including conducting environmental assessments and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Familiarity with environmental regulations, permitting processes, and environmental impact assessment methodologies.
Strong proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS) and geospatial analysis, with the ability to create maps, perform spatial queries, and generate visualizations.
Experience in managing and maintaining GIS databases, including data collection, validation, and quality control.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and communicate complex environmental, GIS, and operational data effectively.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated expertise in Power Bi dashboard development (or similar), including data modeling, visualization design, and report creation preferred.
Experience in writing environmental reports for RUS loan applications, including NEPA documentation, environmental impact assessments, and mitigation plans.
Experience in Python, SQL, and Power Bi dashboard creation.
