University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ('UEC') supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.
Position Summary
Temporary, part-time, non-benefited position through June 2024 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).
Salary: $15.50-$20.00 per hour.

Program Summary:
The complexity of a cybersecurity workforce requires an ever-changing range of skills. The CAE-C Community National Center will also directly support three CAE-C Communities of Practice, focusing efforts on cyber research (CAE-R), cyber defense (CAE-CD), and cyber operations (CAE-CO). Each of these workforce and educational areas require specific competencies and skills and the goal of these communities of practice is to engage industry, academia, and government to help set a strategic direction for academia.
Work Schedule
Up to 19 hours hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically, Monday-Friday within the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm though some nights, weekend work may be required.

Typical Activities
Under minimal supervision of the CAE Program Manager, the CAE Technical Writer/GIS Assistant will work independently to:
Assist CNC Team in writing all reports, grants, legal and public communications.
Regularly review the website and marketing material for grammatical errors and Sponsor/University compliance.
This position needs knowledge and understanding of Geographical Information Systems to be successful in developing current CAE initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent AND equivalent to three (3) years of experience in general office administrative and clerical work.
Experience:
Applicants must have experience using standard office software programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
Applicants must have prior knowledge of the CAE in Cybersecurity Community.
Applicants must have a sound foundation in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation, along with a working knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices.
Applicants must be able to assist with technical support for the CNC team including offering specialized support by utilizing Geographical Information Systems (GIS) implementation on the CAE-C Community website and in reporting.
Applicants must have the ability to coordinate and prioritize many different tasks, determine the relative importance of each, set deadlines, and complete projects accordingly.
Applicants must have the ability to accurately maintain records and files.
Applicants must have strong organizational skills, be very detail-oriented, along with the ability to follow directions, take initiative, be flexible, can multi-task and within minimal supervision make decisions on a day-to-day basis.
Applicants must have demonstrated the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Applicants must have the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
Applicants must have the ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to the work area.
Applicants must have the ability to learn, interpret, and apply a variety of academic and organizational policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working directly with students
Experience maintaining records and documentation
Knowledge of PeopleSoft or a similar platform'
