The Brain Game Center within the Center for Cognitive and Brain Health seeks an Interactive Designer to assist in the UI design of tools used to measured and train cognitive processes. In this role, the Interactive Designer will work with software developers and project stakeholders to create visual designs for front-end applications. The Interactive designer will work extensively in design tools such as Figma or Sketch to create visual layouts that can be implemented in software platforms, including web, iOS, and Android. The Interactive Designer will need to work within scripting languages to help develop pipelines and tools to support front-end software development. The Interactive Designer will also work with researchers and lab personnel to help design research posters, logos, and more.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Designing visual layouts;
Scripting and developing front-end development pipelines;
Contributing to other design activities (e.g., print design, logo design, etc.); and
Mentoring with students and other trainees whom will assist with Interactive Design Projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Knowledge of design feasibility and what's possible with the development tools to create realistic designs (can be in website, mobile applications, games, etc.).
Experience working with software developers.
Some knowledge of scripting, or willing to learn scripting.
Experience working with Adobe Suite or equivalent software packages.
Extensive portfolio demonstrating previous design and production experience.
Preferred
Experience working with Unity.
Experience with motion graphics or animation.
