The Senior Data Analyst performs analysis and data assessment to support the clinical, financial, and operational modeling needs of the Navista and partnered practices. This position is responsible for extracting, and analyzing the aggregate or practice specific data from community oncology practice partners (working with both administrative and clinical practice team members) to monitor and report key operational, clinical, and financial performance indicators that drive optimized practice performance. Daily work includes extracting and analyzing data and processes to support organizational leadership?s planning, management and decision making for member practices and the broader Navista teams.
Responsibilities
Support member practices with analytic needs such as periodic and ad hoc reporting of key financial, revenue cycle, operations, and clinical functions. Includes key performance measures for practice operations.
Supports Navista teams with data analysis efforts for the clinical, financial, and operational modeling needs of member practices.
Responsible for analyzing data and processes to support planning, management, and decision making in coordination with Navista practices.
Creating business cases to demonstrate the impact of a community oncology practice?s decision or its alternatives on organizational performance as measured by patient care quality, efficiency, satisfaction, and profitability.
Create comprehensive operational and financial models. This includes, but is not limited to, detailed impact assessments based on changes in community oncology practice market strategies, alternative pricing structures, new processes, or clinical service line development.
Review regular organization?wide performance dashboards, identify, and understand variances, and participate in corrective action plans.
Demonstrated understanding of visual design principles to best communicate information and insights effectively to multiple levels of an organization preferred.
Knowledge and demonstrated ability to work with large, distributed, and previously unconnected data sets in a business environment.
Produce, understand, and review for accuracy, organization?wide operations analyses, and reports. Identify concerning trends. Participate in the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
Review regular organization?wide performance dashboards, identify, and understand variances, and participate in corrective action plans.
Work with Navista leadership teams on business development initiatives including the continued enhancement of existing service lines for optimized data analytics programming based upon Navista member practice feedback.
Collaborate with our FUSE Data Management Team and Navista Regional Operations Managers to collect quality, timely data to measure and drive operational and clinical performance.
Manage projects as needed by the Navista Informatics Director and Operational Team Leadership.
Qualifications
Ability to extract data from multiple sources such as practice management, financial and EHR systems
Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Project management and performance improvement experience or knowledge
Strong interpersonal skills; Client service oriented (both internal and external)
Creative and persistent problem solver
Ability to multi?task and prioritize workload in a fast?paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including proven utilization of advanced Excel skills for client facing deliverables
Experience as a professional in a role demonstrating an applied use of advanced analytics concepts.
Experience with data manipulation and visualization packages such as Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI preferred
Knowledge of statistical computer languages such as R and Python and/or relational databases (SQL Server knowledge) preferred
Knowledge of community oncology physician practice systems and operations a plus
Bachelor?s Degree required, preferably in business, economics, computer science, finance, or a technical field
Advanced degree preferred (i.e., MS, MBA, MHA); Basic understanding of accounting is a plus
6-8 years? experience required
8-12 years? experience preferred in an analytical role, preferably in healthcare
Remote position with travel up to 15% (domestic), based on business needs
